Krueger

We’re fighting for ‘Uncle Sam’s overseas operations’.（我们在为‘山姆大叔的海外行动’而战。

Translation: Zero. Zilch. Not a damn dime. Even our per diem is at the mercy of whatever circus those idiots in Congress are running today.（翻译一下。

Ghost doesn’t even look at his pay slips，（Ghost

Krueger

I doubt the man knows what his salary even looks like. The cash just sits in an account he never touches while he keeps running around in those same ragged trousers.（我怀疑他根本不知道自己每月拿多少钱。

It’s funny， actually， Maus. You have any idea what the U.S. national debt is?（说起来也挺有意思的，小可爱。

Me neither. But it’s a hell of a lot.（我也不知道。

So you see， a country drowning in debt hires mercenaries to fly to another country to fight a cartel. And where does the cartel get their scratch? Right out of the pockets of Americans buying their product.（所以你看，一个欠了一屁股债的国家，雇了一群雇佣兵，跑到另一个国家去打毒枭。
